Our team, in collaboration with in-country staff and local partners, have used our signature S.P.A.R.K. system as a means of vocational training and, when requested, have helped to build local enterprises and sustainable business models around these skillsets.

We are currently operating in three communities in the suburbs on Kathmandu. In Siddhipur, Lalitpur we have successfully trained more than 22 young “solar entrepreneurs”. These brilliant students are now part of the Thrive family, and as such help to teach our new educational programs across Nepal.

In Dhulikel, our team has worked with friends at Change Fusion Nepal and former government officials to implement our educational program into government schools. This program will be kicking off in mid-September, with long-term plans to launch a school Science Club and get students more involved in existing community projects, such as solar street lamps.

Significantly, Thrive has launched a defining campaign to help those most affected by the 2015 Gorkha Earthquake. In collaboration with local partner, AJ Wild College, we will be attempting to bring power to Bouddha Displacement Camp as part of our SPARK to the Heart Campaign.
